The individual will be part of a team of 12 to 15 solution architects that will be working on a 3 – 5 year roadmap consisting of over 40 major projects that aim to transform the organization.
Design Responsibilities: IT Innovation and involvement in new technology evaluation as needed Participate in technical evaluation and selection of packaged software, participating in RFP creation and evaluation where appropriate, participate in the identification, feasibility assessment, and pilot of emerging technologies.
Participate in the delivery of technology strategy, architecture and design services in partnership with various groups within the organization Involved in enterprise-wide technical architecture solutions and leads the integration of specific architecture, Business, Information/Data, Applications, Technology, Solutions, and Security viewpoints Project Responsibilities: Conducts technology reviews and audits that ensure computer systems are built to architecture principles, follow standards, and are optimized to maximum efficiency Provides technical guidance and renders decisions regarding Information Technology (IT) design Work with Enterprise Architecture group using standard practices and principles and building blocks for every solution needed Operational Responsibilities: Baseline of delivery cycle time and efficiency of solution design Traceability of solution against strategic direction Standard Solution Pattern definition and traceability Experience Required: More than 7 years of strong development background within modern development environments, and languages, and tools Solid technical development application design and solutions architecture background (may encompass enterprise architecture) Solid understanding of digital cloud technologies and environments including AWS, Azure, OpenShift (OCP) and others Experience in containerization concepts, docker images, etc Specific experience with: The innerworkings, design, and scaling of Containerization/Kubernetes Service orchestration using Openshift (OCP – Open Compute Project) would be a huge plus Ability to learn and understand new technologies (e.
g.
Kafka) and build into designs Ability to understand how containers work, how to design containers, how they scale, etc Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) strategies and Docker images Ability to draw architectural diagrams using tools like VIZIO, DrawIO, etc.
Past experience involving architectural documentation levels (C1, C2, C3 stages) a plus Past experience involving C4 architectural documentation level would be an added bonus
