The Preschool Teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, and develops partnerships with parents/guardians to engage and encourage parent/guardian participation in program.
The Preschool Teacher incorporates technology to effectively create a 21st century learning environment within the classroom, and works collegially and collaboratively with all preschool staff to continually improve the delivery of preschool and educational services.
He or she consistently communicates, both verbally and in written from, with parents/caregivers on progress and anecdotes through the use of electronic message boards and/or software applications.
The Preschool Teacher continually engages in active education and mental stimulation with children through the use of various tools, including pictures, books, videos, websites, interactive computer games and other technology, and board games, and works to develop and regularly improve the curriculum and instruction materials.
The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and Certificate of Eligibility or an NJDOE P-3 Standard License.
Experience working as an early childhood educator is preferred but not required.
A Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education is preferred but not required.
