Paralegal / Legal Secretary

We are a small firm specializing in Immigration Law.
We are looking for a full-time legal secretary / Paralegal to assist with preparing cases and help with administrative duties.
Applicant MUST have strong writing skills, customer service skills, be able to multitask, and be a quick learner.
The ideal candidate MUST have 2-3 years of immigration law-related work experience under the supervision of a licensed attorney and should be eager to help the immigrant community.
Spanish or Portuguese speaking is REQUIRED.
Along with the following: 2-3 years of immigration law-related work experience under the supervision of a licensed attorney.
Ability to collaborate with immigration attorneys and supervising paralegals.
Knowledge of non-immigrant visas, immigrant visas, permanent residency, Immigration court, waivers, VAWA, and secondary benefit applications.
Experience in preparing petition packages for review and FILING Experience in preparing court-related supporting documents for Removal Defense; Ability to manage immigration inquiries, gather required information and keep clients informed of case progress Proficiency in legal terminology and willingness to learn Docketwise (Immigration forms software) Exceptional recordkeeping and communication skills.
