*EOE* *POSITION SUMMARY:* The Communications Coordinator will be under the direct supervision of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Director.
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for developing and disseminating a wide range of communications, including but not limited to, newsletters, mass emails, mass text messages, and social media posts.
The Communications Coordinator will serve as the point person for all communication to external stakeholders, and perform basic clerical duties that support the SYEP program.
*PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):* * Work with the SYEP Director and SYEP Program Coordinators to develop outreach strategies designed to support program participants, worksites, and external partners * Design flyers, social media posts, advertisements, and other digital marketing materials * Create standardized templates for emails, powerpoint presentations, surveys, and social media posts * Adhere to UAU and DYCD style guidelines, producing high-quality and error-free content * Send email and text message blasts to programmatic stakeholders, as directed by the SYEP Director * Manage internal communications and marketing systems, including but not limited to, Mailchimp, Text Em All, Canva, and Basecamp * Monitor and track engagement on all communication platforms; evaluate and assess the results of communications campaigns to increase efficacy * Assist in event planning, coordination, and execution, including but not limited to: outreach to prospective panelists, developing content, making schedules, and sending event reminders * Assist the receptionist with answering emails and phone calls on an as needed basis * Assist in maintaining the SYEP@unitedactivities.
org mailbox by responding to routine inquiries, directing emails to appropriate parties, managing the SYEP Outlook calendar, and filing important information * Prepare reports, trackers, correspondence, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and/or presentation software * File and retrieve documents, records, and reports as needed * Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including copying, faxing, taking notes, and coordinating meetings as needed * Assist with any other departmental duties and projects as needed *JOB QUALIFICATIONS:* * Bachelor’s degree preferred, or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree * Maintain a regular schedule allowing for flexibility, including some nights and occasional weekends * Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe, GSuite, Zoom, and Canva * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong problem solving skills * Strong organizational and time management skills * Demonstrated ability to conduct and complete work independently * Willing to take initiative and be flexible when needed * Excels working in a collaborative environment to achieve target objects and outcomes *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
