SALES MANAGER
Position Description:

Job Summary:
As the Sales Manager you will be responsible to lead our sales team at Mooney-General Packaging.
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth by managing, motivating, and guiding our sales personnel while promoting a positive culture and teamwork.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing effective sales strategies, setting performance goals with upper management, and ensuring the team is well-trained and equipped for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Effectively manage, direct, motivate, guide, mentor, and review the performances of the MGP sales personnel.
Conduct one-on-one meetings with sales representatives to establish goals, monitor progress, and provide guidance.
Sales Strategy
Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and ensure growth.
Collaborate with management to set performance goals and objectives for the sales department.
Training and Development
Provide periodic sales training to enhance the skills of the sales team.
Recruit and train new additions to the sales department.
Performance Evaluation
Monitor and review the results of the sales department in achieving objectives.
Conduct monthly departmental sales meetings to assess performance.
Sales Meetings and Communication
Conduct regular internal and external sales meetings, training programs, and seminars.
Organize monthly sales meetings for product training and relationship building between MGP sales personnel and manufacturers' representatives.
Collaboration and Networking
Attend in-person meetings at Mooney-General and other specified locations to meet with management, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Schedule and participate in "ride-along" workdays with MGP sales reps and key mill reps.
Relationship Building
Foster strong relationships with key vendors and customers of MGP.
Oversee customer pricing and identify value-added opportunities.
Lead Generation
Develop and manage a lead generation program, distributing leads to eligible MGP sales representatives.
Track the success of the lead generation program.
Data Reporting and Analysis
Provide necessary sales data reporting as required.
Utilize Salesforce and other CRM software to evaluate the productivity of the sales department.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales management and team leadership.
Familiarity with industrial packaging is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to set and achieve ambitious sales targets.
Proficiency in using CRM software, especially Salesforce.
Ability to analyze business and technical requirements, and propose solution that exceed customer expectations and increase company's economic value.
Abilities Required:

Must possess good organizational skills and posse good verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to cope in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
