The mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.
We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is seeking a highly enthusiastic, results-driven, positive and charismatic professional to join our dynamic and fast-paced Development department.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success identifying, soliciting, cultivating and closing individual, corporate and foundation gifts, as well as a proven track record stewarding new and existing donors.
Annual fund experience is desired and a strong commitment to the mission is paramount.
_*Duties and responsibilities*_
* Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors with a focus on securing pledges and gifts of $10,000 or more.
* Play an integral role in robust national fundraising campaigns.
* Steward current relationships and identify/engage new prospects for cultivation and solicitation.
* Periodically monitor lapsed relationships for renewal opportunities
* Write compelling proposals and timely reports to secure new commitments and renew lapsed gifts.
* Secure introductory meetings as well as in-person meetings with donors and prospects.
* Work closely with the development team to gather the necessary information to ensure proposals are comprehensive and compelling; follow up with leadership as necessary to ensure accountability.
* Work within CRM and Wealth Management databases to cultivate and grow donor base.
* Develop in-depth knowledge of our extensive fundraising and foundation programs along with emerging events and initiatives, to ensure full understanding and accurate representation when communicating to funders.
* Work in collaboration with the marketing and events teams on major initiatives.
* Represent Foundation at various events, meetings, etc.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
_*Qualifications*_
* Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of development experience including demonstrated success in donor prospecting, cultivation, and solicitation a plus.
* Impeccable writing skills with a particular strength, and demonstrated ability, writing compelling individual donor and corporate proposals.
* Proven track record in prospect management and individual gift solicitation.
* Annual Fund experience desired.
* Superior attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and execute multiple projects.
* Time management skills and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
* Team player committed to the mission of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
* Experience working with donor database software.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations) when participating and assisting in special events such as: NYC Tunnel to Towers Run, golf outings, and other fundraising events, as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.
