Outreach Manager

Position Overview: BEOF is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Outreach Manager to join our team.
The Outreach Manager will play a crucial role in fostering community engagement and managing in-kind donations to support our nonprofit’s mission and goals.
This individual will also be responsible for managing BEOF’s in-house food pantry services and all reporting required by agency partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Outreach:
Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage the local community and key stakeholders.
Identify and build relationships with community organizations, businesses, schools, and individuals who share our mission.
Organize and attend community events, meetings, and outreach programs to promote our nonprofit’s mission and initiatives.
Supervise extracurricular activities for seniors, children, and parents within our clientele.
In-Kind Donation Management:
Coordinate the solicitation and collection of in-kind donations such as goods, services, and volunteer support.
Maintain accurate records of in-kind donations, including donor information, quantity, and value.
Ensure that all in-kind donations are distributed or used in accordance with our organization’s needs and objectives.
Food Pantry Management:
Oversee and manage BEOF’s in-house food pantry services, ensuring its efficient operation and organization.
Coordinate food distribution, inventory management, and volunteer staffing for the food pantry.
Implement best practices to maximize the impact of food pantry services within the community.
Donor and Partner Relations:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and supporters.
Express gratitude to donors for their contributions, including acknowledgment letters and recognition.
Collaborate with the fundraising team to align outreach efforts with fundraising campaigns.
Reporting and Agency Partners:
Prepare regular reports on outreach, in-kind donations, and food pantry services, including their impact and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements by agency partners and grantors.
Collaborate with relevant teams to gather necessary data and statistics for reporting.
Identify CSBG regulatory controls requiring board approval and ensure their inclusion on the Board Meeting agenda.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with other team members to ensure alignment between outreach efforts and overall organizational goals.
Work with volunteers, interns, and other staff members to facilitate outreach activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.
g.
, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or social work).
Proven experience in community outreach, in-kind donation management, and food pantry services within a nonprofit or similar organization.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Familiarity with relevant software and tools for donor management, outreach, and reporting preferred.
Passion for the organization’s mission and values.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid driver’s license and access to transportation may be required, depending on the job location and responsibilities.
