Summary:
The Coordination Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the coordination team as well as oversight of the clients’ services from onboarding to discharge.
This position requires great leadership & communication skills.
The Finance, HR and marketing teams depend on the coordination departments excellence to efficiently conduct their duties.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Supervise the coordination staff
• Maintain a healthy caregiver roster
• Strategize to efficiently communicate with and service our clients
• Ensure all clients visits are staffed timely with appropriate caregivers
• Maintain caregiver compliance
• Coordinate Orientation and Inservice classes
• Resolve client concerns
• Assist with other tasks and projects as needed
• Coordinate the activities surrounding patient referrals and the provision of agency services, as directed by the Administrator and/or the Director of Patient Services, including:
• Inform the nurse, patient, and significant other of changes in scheduled caregivers;
• Interface with patients, caregivers, case managers, and outside vendors to resolve billing inquiries;
• Participate in budget planning, as required, and
• Ensure verification of patient’s insurance coverage.
• Serve as a liaison between the agency and the payor source.
• Develops and implements operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient processing of new cases.
• Reviews and approves aide payroll for agency; investigates and resolves billing inconsistencies.
• Performs reviews of employees before the end of the probationary period and annually.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure data is organized, easily retrievable and backed up in the event of a problem with the MIS system.
• Participates in quality assurance/risk management activities.
• Develops and maintains provider schedule templates.
• Adjusts templates to reflect changes in the aide schedules or time off.
• Collaborates with other agency personnel as needed.
• Reports on activities of department weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Other duties as requested by the Administrator.
Education & Experience:
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products
• Capability of effective planning and priority setting.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Experience working with HHA exchange.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
• 2-3 years of prior Supervisory experience
