*Job Title*: Regional Director of Sales & Marketing *Department:* Sales *Reports To:* General Manager/Corporate Office *SUMMARY:* Oversee all sales efforts for multiple properties, by ensuring each property meets or exceeds budgeted sales revenue; and achieving RevPAR Index & STR goals, in addition to building a cohesive team as one.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following: * Manage sales staff by advising, encouraging, planning and appraising results.
* Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue.
* Meet with and maintain business relationships with clients and potential clients.
* Liaison with other department heads facilitating client services agreed upon.
* Follow up on RFP’s.
* Utilize old group files to locate previous groups with potential rebooking opportunities.
* Collaborate with GM to create proposals/contracts for both group and corporate business.
* Utilize Delphi to log and track proposals, tentative and closed clients and groups.
* Develop and maintain business relationships with area CVBs.
Chambers of Commerce and other appropriate professional; industry related organizations.
* Monitor revenue goals of sales staff, coaching and adjusting as needed.
* Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
* Maintain flexible availability to include evenings and weekends are necessary.
* Accountable for market penetration performance as measured by STR report.
*REQUIREMENTS* * Strong ability to manage, delegate and lead sales staff by example.
* Expert knowledge of revenue management, forecasting and budgeting.
* Solid knowledge of surrounding and potential market.
* Strong motivation and negotiation skills, sales planning and building client relationships.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, managers and team members.
* Excellent problem resolution ability resulting in financial gain and/or guest satisfaction.

Travel Occasional *QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:* *Education: *Bachelor’s degree in related field.
*Experience: *Must have (5) five years of previous hotel sales management experience.
Hilton/IHG/Starwood brand systems experience helpful.
*Licenses or* *Certifications: *none required.
*NOTICE: * *Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
