The Director Sales Strategy role develops and leads the annual go to market strategy for all the B+L Consumer brands.
This position aligns and maximizes customer and brand strategies to capitalize on growth opportunities.
In this role, the Director Sales Strategy drives opportunities across all core business drivers including pricing, placement, promotion, distribution and ecommerce in the U.
S.
and Canada.
This position provides category expertise and enables better partnerships with sales and marketing to drive growth across accounts.
This role creates selling stories to strengthen our leadership based on insights discovered throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Owns and drives yearly planning process including coordinating, development, and delivery of all materials (NSM, Lessons Learned, Brand Operating Plan, Retailer Operating Plan, etc.
).
Owns complete trade show preparation (NACDS Annual, TSE) including coordination, deck development, touch base meetings, delivery of all materials.
Leads customer specific shopper marketing activities.
Manage Omnichannel commercial investment strategy and allocations.
Develops Brand Trade strategy including 4P’s and ecomm.
Monitors weekly execution of trade strategy.
Owns Customer & Channel segmentation and strategy (growth and profitability).
Monitors and updates monthly.
Owns and drives Impactful Trade Promotion Effectiveness.
Represents Sales perspective to influence marketing and company initiatives.
Drives actionable Sales and Marketing Communications.
Takes insights and turns them into actionable selling stories.
Member of the Customer Logistics dashboard meeting.
Responsible for communicating key supply challenges and significant impact to sales organization.
Manage, coach and develop two (2) customer marketing managers in Canada.
Share sales strategy best practices between and U.
S.
and Canada.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field is required.
MBA preferred.
10+ years of successful sales or customer/trade marketing experience.
Beauty or Healthcare experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills, ability to make quick/calculated decisions, and ability to perform effectively in a team and individual work environment are a must.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to establish priorities to meet goals.
Highly motivated and results driven.
PC competency required, including but limited to IRI, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Note: This role is eligible for our hybrid work schedule allowing for up to 2 days/week of telecommuting from home and 3 days/week in our Bridgewater, NJ corporate office.
