Do you love to write? Leading immigration law firm Fragomen seeks an experienced Proposal and Content Writer/Manager to join our dynamic and talented Marketing & Business Development Team.
Working on the Content team, your focus will be on drafting and editing highly customized RFP responses, proposals and marketing materials for client pitches, collateral such as brochures and slip sheets, and content for the firm’s website.
An innate love of writing is a must, as is the ability to draft professional and polished documents quickly and under tight deadlines.
In this position, you will work with a close knit, collaborative and supportive team on projects across the worldwide Fragomen organization.
You will directly support the marketing and business development efforts of the preeminent thought leaders in immigration around the world and work at a firm that is focused on revolutionizing the immigration industry through innovation.
This role allows for meaningful engagement and collaboration with legal teams and corporate stakeholders throughout the worldwide firm, including senior leaders.
The ability to multitask under tight deadlines and excellent organizational and writing skills are all “musts” for this position.
The Proposal and Content Writer/Manager must have a “can do” attitude and work in close collaboration with the Content team, the larger Marketing and Business Development Department, senior management, partners/attorneys and other colleagues.
This role will work on a Hybrid arrangement, 2 days/week in our Matawan, NJ office.
How will you make a difference as a Proposal Content Manager at Fragomen?
Working with the RFP team, draft accurate, high quality and tailored proposals, capabilities statements and multi-faceted RFP responses that are consistent with client-specific requirements and firm messaging
Apply excellent writing and analytical skills as well as superior research skills
Develop compelling marketing copy including web content, marketing collateral, attorney biographies, event descriptions, etc.
, that conform to prescribed style and format
Synthesize and present ideas in a clear, logical and concise format
Employ considerable writing flexibility and ability to adjust writing style and direction with minimal effort
Apply excellent proofreading and editing skills to marketing content across various media
Compile and organize proposal content and templates based on certain criteria; maintain and update proposal and RFP content in web-based system
Prioritize writing assignments and coordinate the flow of information from various internal contributors to meet all deadlines; must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently and independently
Quickly develop a strong working knowledge of the firm, its practice groups, and its clients and their industry sectors
Demonstrate cross-cultural communication skills and ability to interface with internal clients, including Partners, attorneys and leadership, in Fragomen offices worldwide

A passion for writing and excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
Five to seven years of experience as a writer, editor or related marketing proposal management role; experience in a legal or other professional services firm a plus
Ability to learn and understand an audience and produce targeted, influential B2B content
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations requiring adherence to tight deadlines
Client service oriented with the aptitude to take care of internal clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner
Highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented
Ability to collaborate, excel and deliver outcomes in a team environment, including providing guidance to junior team members, assisting with the review of content and materials, and providing training, where required
Independently driven, resourceful, proactive and self-motivated with a "make it happen" mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
)
Experience with proposal and content management software (e.
g.
, Loopio) a plus
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English or a related field
Experience in immigration or related services a plus
