Description
Are you passionate about creating social change through funding? At BRICK Education Network, we are seeking a Grant Writer to join our team.
As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for applying for grants to help sustain our mission to provide a coordinated pipeline of services and resources that guide and support families and ensure their children can live in healthy homes, succeed in school, contribute to their communities, and thrive in life.
Our ideal candidate has experience in grant writing with attention to detail, and is results-oriented with excellent communication skills.
They also have a passion for ending systemic racism and generational poverty that have hobbled so many communities of color and disproportionately placed additional burdens on their lives making it hard to move up the economic ladder.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of the development department's strategy in fundraising
- Research and identify grant funding opportunities
- Write, submit, and manage grant proposals
- Provide prospective funders with supporting documents
- Manage grant report completion and submission
- Collaborate with Development Team on funding opportunities
Success in this role:
- 100% of grants submitted on time and reports from development tracker
- Research and identify 4-6 new funding opportunities each quarter
Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years experience in grant researching and writing is preferred but not required
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
Salary, Goals and Employment Period
- Salary Range: Based Upon Experience / Performance Contract
- Employment Period: Twelve Months
